After world war 2 the united states emerged in many ways. They became one of two superpowers. For the United states to be a superpower, they need to have an overpowering economy, a strong military, extensive international political power. The United States had both a monopoly on atomic weapons and expanded production capacity after the war. The aftermath of World War II was the beginning of an era defined by the rise of one of the two superpowers. The super was known as powerful to other countries. It was a high respect to be it. In addition to the automobile insustry. New highways were created to access to places. The highway act provided $26 thousand-million, the largest public work expenditure in U.S history.
The U.S society experienced many changes as a result of world war 2. Many changes revealed themselves in the ways people lived and worked. The baby boom was a big shift demographically. Men returned from the military and people realized how much they missed these men so many people got married and rushed into a lot of things such as starting a family all at once. A lot of people also rushed off to college which made greater investment in education. Family’s started to move out of cities and move into the
suburbs.
