in US such as Montessori in NYC, one girl name Lori she was going to Montessori when she was 3yr now she is 5yr. Montessori is a private pre-school, where the goal of the teacher is to attract children in doing things like math , science and literature. The Montessori tuition fees are $15000 per year, which can buy good quality teacher. So only few kids like Lori can afford to go to pre-school like Montessori. All the teacher in Montessori has master degree and they get$ 38000 per year as a starting salary, where as in US the preschool teachers generally gets 19000 per yr. Head start is another one which is funded by the federal government. It’s for the children whose family can’t afford and they are below poverty line. In the film it shows that Maria and Robert lives with their 4children, both of them doing full time job but still they are making less than $30000, but their 3yr daughter viyanka goes to pre-school. For Maria and Robert viyanka, pre-school is free because she goes to head start, a pre-school program for poor family, which is funded by federal government. In head start the teachers are very poorly educated, many have less than high school degree. Head start pays more than just for pre-school, it provide for health, social services to family and jobs for parents. Some family they don’t get in Head start and it’s very expensive for them to pay for a regular pre-school. In the film it shows that one family in New York they couldn’t afford to pay for a preschool so they move to Paris France where all children gets equal opportunities and they thought their child can go to a pre-school. In France all children must have to go to pre-school at the age of 3yr and it’s free. The French government pays all the prices. In France goal of the pre-school is to prepare the child at a very early age. All the preschool in France has one goal that the teachers are highly educated. All the teachers must have a master degree and the government pays for all of their education. In France the preschool teachers gets the same salary like the Elementary School. When their teachers are highly educated they give quality education for children. In U.S. some states follow the way they do in France, Georgia is the first. In Georgia all the 4yr children must have to go to preschool, and the government pays for it. The way they make k-12 is free that way they did the universal pre-k program, where the kids learn things and develop social activity. In Georgia 60% of children are going to state funded preschool. In Georgia they increase the salary of the teacher to $19000 per year, but they didn’t improve the quality of the teaching style. Georgia’s preschool is free and it’s universal but the teaching style is very uneven. In Chicago Illinois the preschool does make a difference.
Chicago parent- child center is a 2 years preschool program, which started in 1967and now it has 25center. Who has attended the Chicago preschool they improve a lot in the long run, the crime rate is very low compared to head start and other program. Key to the success of Chicago is that the teacher. Do you think the French system of universal preschool could work in the United States? If you think it could work, what challenges would the U.S. face in implementing a Universal Pre-k program? If you don’t think it could work, explain why.
ANSWER 2: I don’ think the French system of universal preschool will work in US, because it’s depends on the government funding and US is a vast country and they have to spend so much money to educate the teacher to improve the quality of the preschool program and at the same time they have to pay more salary to the teacher. Otherwise with a higher degree they don’t want to work with less …show more content…
salary.

Answer 3 In my opinion, if the government pays for the universal preschool program in U.S. S then it would be better. Children education starts at a very early age, if there will be a good foundation at a very young age then they will be better in future. They will do better in the long run. With educated preschool program it will help not only in academic but also it will improve the socioeconomic status of the lower to middle class family. There will be less dropout and the crime rate will lower. When the government will pays the universal preschool program, the children will get better education and the outcome will be greater than the investment cost.
