One of my personal experiences that went totally above my expectations is my story with my elder brother who works as a chemical engineer. One day, he came to me saying that he wants to quit his job although he is passionate and committed to it. The first thing I asked him about is that if he’s comfortable with his decision regarding the resignation. He seemed not really into it. And so I said:” Group work isn’t that bad. If you are emotionally intelligent enough you will be able to manage it. Did you try to communicate with your team members outside the workplace? The answer is obviously no. creating a bond with your team members outside the organization eases the communication between the team members and increases your productivity. This is called cohesiveness. In addition to that, you get to solve problems from different points of view. Maybe they can observe problems from an angle that you haven’t noticed before. Also, you can break work with high complexity into parts which save you time and effort.
