Ella's Daughter Monologue
A long time ago there were twos younglings who were polar opposites. One named Ella and the other Bernard. Both Ella and Bernard were born in Verona, but raised in different ways. Ella was a Capulet and Bernard was a Montague. Ella’s family was much more rich and elegant than Bernard’s family. At this set and time, the Capulets and Montagues were equal. No one grouping was considered better than the other. But, Ella’s family was exceptional. Ella was the daughter of King James and Queen Bertha, she was a princess. Bernard had an image set for himself, a dream to become rich and powerful. The only way to achieve his goal was to marry the alluring princess. And so, Bernard set his goal and he was on his way to charm the princess. There is a twist …show more content…

“ Thou art very welcome Bernard. May I asketh who thee art going to useth this love potion on? ” (Bernard widens his eyes and is confused as to how Friar Montague knows that he is going to use the potion on someone) “How didst thee knoweth I wast falsing? ” “Because, I wast thy age once… a good wish upon you Bernard. Chooseth wisely”.

Now that Bernard had the love potion, he was on his way to find the Princess. He knew that everyday at 11am, the princess went into town. He searched all downtown for her; looked in every single store, every single fountain, until he finally found her. Princess Ella was at the outside market. Bernard hadn't planned out what he was going to do, so he just went for it. Without any hesitation, he just went up to Ella and looked her in the eyes. Vampires compel someone by looking them in the eyes and telling them what to do. It makes humans lose control of their bodies. The only way to prevent this is by wearing vervain. Vervain is a potent herb that protects humans from being compelled and under the influence of vampires. If a vampire makes physical contact with vervain, it will burn them. While Bernard was looking into Ella’s eyes he

Ella looked very dazed and said,
“What art thee declaring? Who is't art thee? I am not thy ladybird n’r bride”.
Just as Bernard was going to answer, Ella looked down at her chest and gasped when she realized her locket was missen. Bernard made up a lie and said that she had him hold it for her while she was at the market. As Bernard was talking out the locket from his pocket, he pulled the bottle of love potion instead. Just as he was going to put it back in his pocket before anyone saw it, Ella snatched it out of his hand and said,
“Is this what thee hath used on me? Is this wherefore thou art calling me thy bride?”
Bernard didn't know what was going on. He wondered what had happened to the love potion. From the angle that Ella was holding the bottle, Bernard could read that on the back it says that the ingester may not come in contact with water until 24 hours after. In other words, the bath that Ella took, washed away the potion. Bernard kept shut because he was so embarrassed. King James

Stephen Boyd writes a very compelling narrative that provides insight into the perspective of white males, or as Boyd more specifically articulates, “white, heterosexual, Anglo-Saxon, Protestant (evangelical), middle-class, middle-aged, southern, able-bodied men.” (10) Although Boyd’s work covers a vast range of topics, he outlines his “seven theses” at the onset of the book. In addition, he provides an outline of the book, wherein he details the book in three parts, as follows: “Part 1 is an elaboration of the development of the dual identities - the lonely warrior and the desperate lover… Part 2 offers an interpretation of Christianity that calls us deeply into ourselves and out over the barricades that isolate us from others.” (15) While in part 3, Boyd describes “potentially transformative processes and spaces” and suggests “ways that love leads us to reconciliation with our bodies and the earth, other men, and women.”…

In the play, Friar Lawrence is described as the most trusted advisor of many citizens and a well learned, knowledgeable man. Which is why it is quite surprising that much of his advice and actions are quite foolish. When Juliet comes to him in distress over her upcoming marriage to the County Paris, the Friar thinks up an absurd plan to drug her and masquerade as if she is dead. While the characters act like this is a completely well thought out and rational plan, it is easy to see the ridiculousness. The potion will make her so that, “Stiff and stark and cold, appear like death.…

The Nurse acts as Juliet’s mother figure, however, their relationship cannot fully substitute the biological connection between Lady Capulet, Lord Capulet, and Juliet.…

Along the lines of her argument and although Count Dracula does not declare much in the novel, his speeches often indicate sexual aggression. Highlighting his following dialogue, "My revenge is just begun! I spread it over the centuries, and time is on my side. Your girls that you all love are mine already; and through them you and others shall yet be mine . . ."(267). Here Dracula identifies the procedure of exchange by which the female represents the river in which males are penetrated. Broadening the argument further, Dracula does not only suck Lucy 's blood when he vamps her, but also the three male characters’ who have transferred their blood into her. Van Helsing himself reveals this decisive information: "… even we four who gave our strength to Lucy it also is all to him"(181). Van Helsing does not express unhappiness regarding the connection between the male characters and Dracula as if Stoker is saying 'It is fine ' to have this kind of relationship within society. As Schaffer argued "This interposition of a woman between Dracula and Van Helsing should not surprise us; in England, as in Castle Dracula, a violent wrestle between males is mediated through a feminine form"(Schaffer 117). Schaffer underlines the framework that Stoker uses to deliver a masked homosexuality whenever he addresses it in Dracula in order to avoid negative sanctions from the readers and…

Once Dracula turns her into a vampire, Lucy is unleashed from her Victorian laces causing her sexual desires to erupt, and she is portrayed as an untamable pedophile. Stoker emphasizes immoral behavior through his portrayal of vampire-Lucy when describing her in the act of preying on innocent children and how “with a careless motion, she [flings] to the ground, … the child that up to now she had clutched strenuously to her breast, growling over it as a dog growls over a bone. The child [gives] a sharp cry, and [lays] there moaning” (Stoker 211-212). With these details, Stoker illustrates how the “New Woman” would serve as an unfit mother and as well as a profane wife. She is described as wild and animalistic; the fact that Lucy assaults multiple children discredits her even more as she is the one to seduce the children and want them coming back for more to play with the “bloofer…
