Significance of the Study
Due to fast paced changes in the Business Administration industry, with great emphasis on employability skills that interest employers, there is a need to determine the level of competence that graduating senior students in Business Administration programs posses before moving on to workplace. The purpose of this study is to determine if the students at Jose Rizal University taking Business Administraion program possess the ability to practice the leadership and human relations skills required of Business Administration graduates.This study also focuses on academic programs adequately incorporated the desired employability skills into the curriculum so that graduates can adapt to the complex nature of their functions.And to determine whetherBusiness Administration students enrolled in the programs be assured that the knowledge, skills and abilities they learn will make them employable business leaders.Since the level of preparedness of Business Administration graduates’ employability skills could affect their employment, the importance of knowing if the programs are providing the necessary employability skills required by employers is critical.Moreover, the results of the study will be beneficial to the following:
• Respondents. The respondents will have an awareness on the importance of employability skills and its role on the improvement of their potential in the business world.
• Teachers/Mentors. The result of the study will help the teachers/mentors provide encouragement to think of ideas that will give proper guidance to the students/mentees. This may also increase their competency.
• Guidance Staff. The result of the study may provide on assessment of the mentoring program whether it is effective or not. This may also encourage the guidance staff to think of other activities that will make the students/mentees as well as their teachers/mentors enjoy the program.
• Parents. The result of the study will help the parents of the
