If I was the manager at the restaurant with high employee turnover, the actions that I would take to increase retention of employees will be first find out the reasons why employees are leaving when conducting their exit interview (Chapter 5, page 192). Showing all the interviews and survey responses will show management all the good and bad within the company so we can focus on making the good better and fix the bad. If there’s a lot of bad and that’s what causing employees to leave then management will have to address the issue so no more employees leave. If a problem is work-life balance then we’ll have to address it so employees can have a better work-life balance so they can be more with their family and possibly even work from home from time to time (chapter 3, page 96).
