Enchiladas Research Paper
Tortillas made by hand thrown over the pan, as the heat puff up the tortillas, it is thrown on this red sauce that looks like lava. Then, it is pulled out from the sauce and thrown on to the plate ready for the chopped up cabbage, the onion with oregano, and Mexican cheese. The enchiladas, I wouldn’t dare eat for three-hundred and sixty-five days because the same food taste, the condiments will be overwhelming, forever I have to wash my hands, and I will result in obesity.
Eating the same enchiladas would be overwhelming because the same taste is repeating. For example, if it were my birthday and all I get is enchiladas, sadly, I will cry because I am tired of eating the same sauce, the red sauce. Then, the same texture, my tongue will not like it as it used to. The onions on the enchiladas will make my mouth stink like rotten onions. Eating the same food will overwhelm me by just tasting the enchiladas.
Enchiladas are considered a messy food because of the sauce it contains; as a result, I will have to clean myself up. The sauce of the enchiladas was made to be messy with hands. As any Hispanic culture, no fork is used for an enchilada. The hand was made to grab the enchilada and put into the mouth. The only result is, once the tortilla

The body in the morning seeks for nutrition such as fruits, grains, and meat. An enchilada contains a lot of oil when cooked, not only does it get cooked in oil, but the sauce itself has oil. It is like a huge bomb that goes into the arteries ready to plug up some blood flow. Also, eating a lot of grains in the late night will cause a buildup of fat inside my stomach. Imagine every day eating enchiladas in the morning, lunch, and dinner every day. Those grains will be building me some fat instead of muscles. Whether if it’s in the morning, lunch, or dinner, the body always wants something different, eating the same food can take me to a weight

The first step in making tamales is, you let the meat in this case “pork” cook for at least two hours, with a piece of garlic and onion to give it some flavor. While patiently waiting for the meat to cook well, grab some red Chile pods and take the seeds it has inside out. After finishing taking out the seeds, you place the chiles in a saucepan and add about two the three cups of water and put it on heat for half an hour. Then when the time has passed transfer the red Chiles and water to your blender until the Chiles are smooth. After smoothing the Chiles you strain the mixture and make sure you don’t forget to stir into salt, and put aside. Lastly, shred the meat “pork” and mix it in a cup of the red Chile…

In the article titled, “Taco USA: Mexican food Became More American Than Apple Pie”, by Gustavo Arellano argues that Mexican food in America is not authentic. Mexican food served in America is completely different from the original cultural mexican dishes. “Mexican food has become a better culinary metaphor for America than the melting pot” (Arellano 453). Mexicans view such food claiming to be Mexican in America as a joke and an insult to their culture. America does not see nor acknowledge the value of authentic Mexican food.…

At first it was seen as a simple and innocent creation, but later on took a toll on the children. I was able to discuss the Hot Cheetos topic with my cousin Guadalupe and understand the effects these chips caused her. At first she did not feel any sort of symptoms or pains, but little by little, she began experiencing a pain in her stomach. She began throwing-up everything she ate, right after eating the chips. She would spend sleepless nights getting up and down, just to throw up, because Hot Cheetos irritated her stomach way too much! “As soon as I ate Hot Cheetos, I would feel my stomach begin to burn up, but I did not understand why. If everyone else could eat them, why couldn’t I. Sometimes I wondered if I was the only one.”Clearly she wasn’t the only one, and her stomach pains had a…

It’s a common misconception that Cinco de Mayo (The fifth of May in Spanish) is a celebration of Mexico’s independence. However, this is not the case - the celebration started over fifty years after Mexico’s independence. Mexico’s Independence day is celebrated in the sixteenth of September. The holiday, is instead, based off of Mexico’s victory in the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862. This victory, at the time, resembled a resistance against imperialism, not just for Mexico, but also around the world. This victory for Mexico, against France, shook back the idea that empire building would be an easy task. Now, however, the celebration is more of a Mexican pride day. Peculiarly enough, the celebration takes place much more often in the United…

Jalapenos have been around since before the Aztec civilization. The Aztecs smoked these peppers to dry them since their thick flesh made sun-drying difficult. My experiences in a cultural group are many. I have been married to a Mexican man for almost 23 years. The one thing that stands out most in my experience is the amount of love that is displayed in a family group. My husband comes from a family of twelve children. The first time I went to Mexico to visit his side of the family, our son was four months old. I remember seeing the whole family setting together on one very long couch with Aunts and Uncles and parents. Everyone was jammed in there together with their heads on each other’s shoulders watching television. It astounded me because when I was growing up, my siblings and I used to fight over “our cushion” on the couch. Granted, I came from a family of only five children, but they…

One of my favorites! The enchilada dinner plate is so good. It comes with three enchiladas, rice, beans, sour cream and guacamole. You can go to a authentic restaurant and get some really good ones. The green ones are much tastier then the red ones. They are made with different kinds of peppers. My favorite restaurant for Mexican food is Tacos El Rey. Not sure if it is an authentic one, but the enchilada plate sure is good. They also make beef sirloin tip burritos that are also very good. Made with beans, cheddar cheese and beef tips. They make the burritos pretty big and you can get full of off just one. I would recommend going here to try their Mexican food.…
