One artifact that shows my growth in collaborating with peers is the stage directions for act one scene 5 of Romeo and Juliet. We added scene directions with a partner, and Amanda and I received a 9 out of 10. When we did this assignment earlier in the year, we didn’t know how to communicate our ideas to each other. The stage directions weren’t detailed enough because we had ideas, but didn’t know how to collaborate and share our ideas. Throughout the year, I learned how to work together more efficiently. This is exemplified in the literary devices project, which was successful and received a 60/60. At the beginning of the year it was hard to work with partners. One skill I learned that made it easier it collaborate is that you have to listen to others opinions, and not be afraid to voice your own. When no one shares their thoughts, you can’t do the assignment. If everyone is talking at once, and no one is listening to what others say, it is also difficult to collaborate. Also, as the year went on, I felt more comfortable sharing my ideas, which improved my collaboration skills. The two artifacts show this growth because the Romeo and Juliet staging was not successful and didn’t express our ideas, but as I learned to listen and share I was able to successfully collaborate in the literary devices project.
Technology/ Media Message One artifact that shows my ability to create a project using technology was the infograph. I made an infograph for my research project, in which I researched the topic barefoot running. Just while making the infograph I improved my computer skills, and learned how to better use technology. I used Piktochart, and at first I had a lot of trouble using it. I had never made an infograph before, or used a website like Piktochart. However, once I figured out how to use the website it was easy, and kind of fun to make the infograph.
This year I also learned how to evaluate media messages with the Prezi on
