In this assignment you will be required to produce a written marketing plan for DANONE company, which is (hypothetically) considering entry into Uzbekistan. You will assume the role of an international marketing consultant that has been hired to advise the company on the penetration strategy and marketing mix decisions to pursue in the new market.

The key tasks involved, and on which you will be assessed, are therefore to:
1. Research and assess the market (hint: apply some of the models discussed in lectures, choose the ones you find relevant). This should also include as much relevant data about the chosen market as possible (such as demographic data, market and competitive data, opportunities and possible risks to manage)
2. Advise the company on what changes would be needed to the marketing mix to meet the opportunity (for example, how will the product(s) be ‘positioned’ in the market relative to the competition?)
