Essay On Gay Marriage In Australia
Love is love and Australia is a proud nation. We need to change to way of Australia and its opinion of gay sexuality and marriage. Australia should not have anyone that is gay to be beaten down because of the way they were born, and should not be treated differently. They have equal rights as well and should be able to marry the one that they love. We should be using our time to change the face of Australia, and have equal rights in marriage.
One reason why we should accept gay marriage is that there will be many more happy lives for children to cherish, as they will be granted out of more adoption agencies because of the increase of married couples whom are gay can receive and live with the child in happiness. Most adoption agencies decline the proposal of a couple to receive a child, more for being gay is nearly hopeless since they cannot get married. Agencies would be forced to grant a gay married couple or any married couple a child after of course services and exchanges, but will then cause the child to have a fulfilling childhood.

Well, most children cannot experience this because they only have the adoption agencies to help them. It won’t matter if their new parents are the both same gender, because they will always love and support the child. Same sex marriage can definitely help into making a beautiful family. Second of all, the amount of teenage suicides is ridiculous, and is actually the result of a teenager either being gay or having gay relatives that cannot marry. A teenager goes through a hormonal path throughout their teenage life and will be torn apart because they may not marry who they desire. Did you know that roughly 5000 teenagers a year in Australia commit suicide? 30% of them commit suicide because people bully them about their sexual

There are many enthusiastic homosexual couples that would absolutely love to welcome those who are in need of a stable home, however, prejudice prevents them from being potential parents. While not every heterosexual couple is eligible or chooses to adopt, most homosexuals would be more than happy, if given the opportunity. The world needs to stop discrimination and realize that most gay and lesbian couples possess qualities equivalent to those who are granted adoption rights. Not everyone is seen as an acceptable candidate due to countless countries choosing to declare this illegal as a result from an excessive amount of people believing one's sexuality makes them less qualified. As explained in an article by Shannon Corregan, a couple in Melbourne was rejected a foster child about two years ago for the reason that they did not want homosexuals for parents. Even though it is not always the case, anyone who…

Gay marriage should be legal because as woman and man, all individuals have the same right in society; because same-sex couples can constitute a good based family; because it is just a way to make official a common union nowadays, even with the religious issue; because it is not related to polygamy; and because love matters and it does not differ in nature according to the sex of its object or the person who experiences it.…

As human beings we are all entitled to our rights to have a family. Society’s image of a perfect heterosexual family is just a stereotype. Nowadays kids today do not live with two married parents. The sexual identity of a child with gay parents develops the same way with heterosexual parents. Most gay or lesbian children are born into a heterosexual family. Children are more impacted by the communication with their parents rather than the sexual identity of their parents. Even living in a homosexual household children adapt quite well with their peers. Growing up with two homosexual parents the child tend to believe in equal rights and is sympathy towards differences. Gay parents are not accidental parents so they are much more devoted and inclined versus heterosexual parents who became accidental parents. ”It has be stated that children can be successfully raised by same-sex couple with no adverse effects that would not have been present if raised by parents of the opposite sex.” (LGBT Adoption Statistics) Traditionally family beliefs are not adequate proof for…

Could you imagine if you had met the ideal person you wished to share your entire life with but the law would not allow you to? That is the position that many homosexual Australians have been in since the settlement of this country. Same sex marriage is currently not allowed in Australia but I and a proven 60% of other Australians strongly believe it should be. Gay people pay taxes, serve in the military, participate in the workforce, are our neighbors, friends and family. Logic and decency would suggest that they should have the right to marry, just as any heterosexual couple can. However, there are people who disagree with this belief, take for example the government, namely Australia’s prime minister, Julia Gillard, several religious groups who believe marriage should be kept between a man and a woman and those who simply wish to deny the happiness of two people in love because of their anatomy.…

Gay or lesbian couple never really get the chance to have a family of their own. Usually the only way they get to have a child is through adoption, or artificial insemination. When gays become parents they get to show how much they love and care for their child. (3). Children that grow up in foster care do not get the opportunity to grow up with a family. Children without parents deserve the opportunity to be raised by a gay or lesbian couple just as much as a gay or lesbian couple deserves to become parents. (4). A gay or lesbian couple can give the child a complete family experience that they did not have before. (3). Gay marriage should be legalised in Australia because everyone should have the same rights as other people, all should be equal. Equality is all about everyone having the same rights and freedom. In Today society if gay marriage is legalised, it would lead to gay’s having the same equal rights and freedom as a married couple. If gay marriage is legalised then there will be more kids adopted which means more kids will be loved. Some people believe that gay marriage should not be allowed, as the main reason is that the sacrament of marriage is between a man and a woman, not the same sexes. I strongly disagree with this viewpoint, as every human being should be able to have the right and freedom to marry any one they choose, although some people…

Although the idea of a same-sex wedding hasn’t been legal long enough for statistics to be developed on children of same-sex marriages’ developmental upbringing, or that they are harmed by their environment, many people seem to think that they will be less healthy or normal if the couple that raises them are homosexual. People believe that the children will grow up to be gay, or different from any normally raised child, if they don’t grow up in a “normal” family. The results of studies testing these ideas are quite contrary to the popular belief of heterosexual couples. In fact, the studies show that children raised by gay couples seem to be more adjusted than the “normally” raised ones. The argument that children raised in homosexual households will grow up to be gay is completely illegitimate. In a study of over 300 children of homosexual parents, there have been no indications that there are any disturbances in the development of the child’s sexual identity, or the lifestyle that the child will live later in life. In reality, most children raised by heterosexuals are not raised…

You walk into class and see "pop quiz" written on the board. Everyone sits down and the bell rings for class to begin. The teacher makes an announcement and says 'everyone that is failing my class does not have to take this quiz everyone else grab your pencils.' How do the rest of you feel? How is that fair? How does a grade make me different from the other people? You probably feel discriminated. How does a grade decipher what I get and don't get in life? So how should a gender decipher who you can and can't get married too? Same sex marriage has been illegal in many states for awhile now. Very few states have legalized it. Many many people believe it is not right. Then you have the other people that believe gender should not matter. You love who you love.…
