There are three theories that speculate the most asked question archaeologists have. Who settled America first? The giant theory, the Siberian theory, and the Solutrean theory. The giant theory states that giants came to America from Catalina Islands, California. 15,000 years ago, the Siberians came to America by walking across a land bridge. The only theory that ponders people traveling by boat is the Solutrean theory. This theory states that 22,000 to about 18,000 years ago, a group of migrators came to America from Europe by boat. The most plausible theory would be the Siberian theory. Looking at all the evidence that supports the Siberian theory, this theory provides researchers a more accurate answer to their question. Another giant theory claims comes from the tv show “Lost Giants”. Jim and Bill Viera are giant hunters searching for evidence that supports this theory. Over 1,000 “giant” bodies have been found in America. The brothers claim that giants came from the Catalina Islands in California. A piece of evidence that they base their theory off is a tooth found in Siberia. The Viera brothers reason that giants have double rows of teeth. When the brothers traveled to the islands, they expected to find sites from a previous giant archaeologist, Ralph Glidden. Glidden found a thighbone that was twenty-eight inches that belonged to an eight-foot-tall man. The Viera brothers arrived on the islands and found that Glidden destroyed all and any potential excavation sites. As well as destroying the sites, Glidden took other human remains and passed them off as his own discoveries and did not have an organized system for his findings.
