Although this is my first year not competing or being on a team, I still considered myself an athlete. Even though I have been taught and educated on the importance of staying hydrated, I am the type of person that hardly ever drinks water or other beverages. One of the worst feelings is not being able to recover after a workout and I have felt that from time to time. I never thought that it could be because of my hydration habits. But, after reading this article, I believe I have found the cause. I need to stay hydrated especially when I am working out. This article has hopefully influenced my brain and body enough to realize that this is something that I need to do because I want to be healthy and strong. This article also relates to the general public. I have noticed that society and the media are making a push towards educating people on staying hydrated. I believe that this is an amazing idea because our society needs these healthy tips.
