Many paralegals are employed by corporations. These corporations need paralegals in order to help assist attorneys in creating employee contracts. They also help with benefit plans for their employees as well as typing up fiscal documents, such as end of the year financial reports. When corporations have board meeting, a paralegal is expected to take notes and record them. Corporate paralegals also are supposed to have a good grasp on the law.
