A large number of people in US suffer from Psoriasis, an autoimmune inflammatory skin disease in which the skin cells proliferate profusely at an unchecked rate.
The condition causes the rapid build-up of skin cells leading to scaling on the skin’s surface. Psoriatic scales, in general, are whitish-silver and develop in thick, red patches. Another common psoriatic symptom is inflammation and redness around the scales. At times, these patches rack and bleed also.
