Essay On Thanksgiving Break
Last year my family decided to take an extravagant vacation for Thanksgiving break. We decided that the destination was to be Cancun, Mexico. This would be my first vacation out of the country and I could hardly wait. My whole family was invited and it was going to be a great eight days and seven nights, of straight fun in the sun. A nice and enjoyable get away was much needed for everyone and this time of the year is everything I look forward to. It was going to be cold in Missouri but in Mexico the forecast looked marvelous. We get to do a vacation around November or December once a year with our whole family and it is the absolute best memories. Something about this vacation made it more cherishable to me. This vacation was a little different for me because of the memories I made and the people I met, who are now lifelong friends. Some of the best memories were made on this trip and it is something I will never forget. I enjoyed getting to see each one of my family members everyday and starting our days with breakfast with each other and concluding it with dinner. We had many …show more content…
The relationships I made will forever hold an important place in my heart. I am grateful that my family was able to provide this experience for me and my siblings. Everyone had an awesome time and we still talk about the memories and look forward to going back. We are currently in the process of booking a vacation for over Christmas this year, with the destination to be determined. I am excited that my family gets to do these special events together because it makes you realize how important family is and the special bond you create over different memories. Family vacations let you take a break from work or school, or just your everyday life and get to enjoy the moments with your family. These memories will last a lifetime and will be passed on from generation to generation. We will continue to do this tradition and let it live

Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving. Did you do anything fun? Travel anywhere distant? In your last email you said you ride a bike called a recumbent. I have to say that it is a very strange bike. There are a few people in Brainerd that ride those in the summer. I personally wouldn't ride one but to each their own. I can't believe that you work on such a range of projects from $30 to $300 million. What was the smallest project you ever funded and what was the biggest? And what were they?…

Thanksgiving, one of the most joyful times of the year- unless you're a turkey. You see, this whole Thanksgiving thing started about four hundred years ago. In that time, more than 18000 million of my closest relatives have been murdered. I would escape but i'm a domestic turkey, so i can't fly. I were a wild turkey, i would waddle away from this place, after all, a am the biggest turkey in the pen. Many of the young fryers in my pen don’t know their fate, but I do. How does one of the most highly respected animals in the animal kingdom fall this low, I mean, we were almost the national symbol of the United States of America and now, we are being ripped apart, pulverized, and eaten by our own people. Us turkeys have to watch out for our own, it's a dangerous world out there.…

The best part of the reunion is the cooking. My mom always makes the desserts. There is nothing like an old fashion pound cake, red velvet cake, butternut, and chocolate cake. She has some of the best recipes in town. My great Aunt Ment, who is one of the eldest members of our family, comes all the way from Miami, FL. She makes the best chicken dressing, which my family says cannot be duplicated. While we are doing all the cooking and baking, my uncle Joe is always sneaking snapshots and videotaping us when we least expect it.…
