Essay On Thanksgiving
Should Christmas decorations be on display prior to thanksgiving? Well, no because I think that it breaks tradition or people spend more money than they usually have. On the other hand some readers might disagree because some want Christmas to last more longer so they can enjoy it. Don’t go away more details are coming your way!

To begin with, the reason I disagree with Christmas decorations prior to Thanksgiving is because it “breaks tradition”. What I mean by “breaks tradition” is that each holiday should have its own moment and be celebrated by families who have their own traditions by doing the things they usually do on Thanksgiving Day. According to Amy kine- Rodrigues “we put our tree up around the beginning never before thanksgiving”.

What I mean by that is parents will be in a store then see something nice for their kid & buy it and call it a christmas gift but yet it’s the middle of November. Then when its actually christmas time to buy christmas gifts parents will have very little money but yet use a debit cars then rack up on stuff then go into debt. According to www.americanmoneyassiocation.com it staes “ the Averge family will spend the cost of $1,789 on Christmas gifts even before Christmas holiday.”

Lastly, others may disagree with my opinions because they would want the christmas spirit to last longer or because it would be more cheaper to buy in those “hectic” stores. According to Heather steveson she replies “I always put my christmas decorations up because my kids & I really enjoy having them up & because it saves the time going through our shed looking to look for them then lilke a week later we would have to take them down.” Due to this reason a lot of people do it.
All in all, I believe that Christmas decorations should be allowed on display due to “breaking tradition & “speding money than they normally.” But readers still may disagree to the fact that the holiday should last more

Let’s face the facts…. Christmas is in December. It’s October and not even late October at the time I’m writing this; and I’m already finding this gross red and green, Christmas related, candy cane striped trash sneaking its way into all of the stores! And this is just unacceptable! I mean, it is one thing for craft stores, like Hobby Lobby, because they have all seasons all the time and just shuffle stuff to the front as it gets closer to their respective holidays, but when it comes so Sam’s Club, Walmart, Dollar General, and huge chain stores like these, there is no reason to have Christmas stuff even showing up until AT LEAST after Halloween. And even yet, what kind of nutjob puts up Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving!? I don’t even…

I can remember every December getting ready to go cut down our family Christmas tree. We went to the same place every year. It was me, my mom, my brother and my sister. We would bring our own saw and cut down the tree ourselves afterwards we would sit in the barn the tree farm converted into a café and drink hot apple cider. It was my favorite holiday tradition. It lasted until I turned 17 then I came home one day and in the living room was a giant fake Christmas tree. My mom said it was better for the environment and better for her budget. It may be cheaper to buy a nice fake tree every five years or so but real Christmas trees are a much better option.…

It's been festive in our house for a few weeks now, the first time in the history of our little family to put decor up two months before Christmas. I have noticed a trend, people eye rolling, mocking others for deciding to bring holiday cheer a bit early this year. The next time you may silently judge others for their choices, remember that there are many reasons for people to celebrate early. The ones who need two months of holiday cheer to remind them how truly blessed they are to enjoy the holidays, or have any at all. The home sick, the ones who are missing holidays with family, the deployed spouses, sick family members on their minds or just the feeling you get every time you walk into a home filled with twinkling lights and the muppet…

Sometimes kids and parents are in a divorce and they have to go with the one who doesn't celebrate thanksgiving then they don’t have a choice but to not celebrate it at all. Christmas is a holiday where people celebrate the festivities, spend time with their families, and give gifts to other people through generosity (“Christmas Traditions, about Christmas at Holiday Insights). How people decorate their house show this habitual tradition. While my mother drove around the neighborhoods, I observed wealthier houses had more decor inside and outside of their house. There were annual competitions between houses for whoever had the best-decorated yard. The number of people visiting the decorated houses and their judgment and approval drive the competition. In my town, the affluent houses always win since they have the funds to support the decorations, and they also have a unique taste in the types of…

Tradition seems the opposite of change, but this is definitely not true. Traditions have changed over years, or do you think we have had Christmas trees since the beginning of celebrating Christmas? People started celebrating the birth of Jesus around 200 A.D., but only in the beginning of the nineteenth century, people started placing Christmas trees in their houses. Why can’t we change traditions if they have been changing for centuries?…
