Essay On Three Examples Of Current Affairs That Affect Public Services And Citizens
P7 - Report on three examples of current affairs that affect public services and citizens.
M4 - Analyse the effects on citizens and public services of the way that three current affairs examples have been reported by the media.
Three current affairs in the UK that affect the Public Services and the citizens of society could be the change of government or government policies, war and terrorism and the cutbacks of the funding of the Public Services.

Because of these cuts (especially of the Police), the level of crime could increase. One of the reasons that the levels of crime could increase is because some of the crimes may not be reported as people don’t think there will be much chance in solving them. It could even result in crimes such as burglary, sexual offences, domestic abuse, criminal damage and theft from cars not being investigated and solved. Because these crimes aren’t being investigated or solved, citizens can become unsafe and unhappy. They could also blame everything on the police for being “lazy”. Criminals would then realise the possibility of being caught would be less likely and would be more likely to commit more
