The government is sending troops across the Atlantic to handle other nations issues while there is a enormous amount of street violence and drug trafficking here at home. Big cities like Chicago, Compton and Brooklyn are terrorized by gangs. The amount of narcotics that are being distributed freely on the streets is ridiculous. This country is losing many young men as a result of gang on gang shootings. Most of this violence occurs in areas of high poverty. These areas need to be tackled harder by the government in order help many young men escape the walls of violence they find themselves trapped in daily.
Furthermore, the price of college tuition is an issue that is keeping many young Americans from furthering their education. The cost of tuition is extremely high in many colleges throughout the nation. Those who attend college are left with piles of debt to pay back once they graduate. This is unfair because many college students work tremendously hard each semester with little to no reward. People say college is the key to success. Well the government needs to make sure the path is opened for more Americans over the next few years in order to keep this country moving
