Evolution of a Term: Strength
When I was four years old, I thought that strength was that you had to be super strong. All my examples at that age was from the movies, cartoons and the video game I played when I was young. Some of the movies were Spider-Man, Blade, Powerpuff girls, and X-Men. The cartoons I watched were the Powerpuff girls, Justice League, X-Men Evolution. The video game I played at the age of four was Final Fantasy XI. When I think of how the word strength the mean changes as I grow older.

Now I would define strength as being independent and being able to do things on your own. When I get out of school and move away I plan to go to OTC and get my general education out of the way and work on my auto or my culinary degrees. I am ready to show the world how strong this girl really is. Overall if I change my mind I can go for a degree in theater. Now it is time to see what my future self would possibly think the meaning of strength is.
By the time I reach the age of 30 I would like to have a good job and gotten through most of the challenges of my life. By the time I will be married and have kids and be the role model for them so I can show that strength comes from hard work and dedication. When I think of it and what the word will mean to me then is that no matter what happens you can have the strength of your faith and the love of friends and family. Now I understand what strength means to me but what does this word mean to other people.
What the word strength could mean to everyone is that you can find it in the things you do. Besides we find strength from conquering the demons of our past and moving on. Google say that strength is a good or beneficial quality or attribute of a person or thing but it could change as time goes on. But I think that we should be able to see our strengths as well as others and not tear them

The strength the surprised me the most was Harmony. StrengthsQuest says, "In your view there is little to be gained from conflict and friction, so you seek to hold them to a minimum" (StengthsQuest, 2000). After reading a more in depth definition of Harmony, I know how I can utilize this strength. In my career, there are many peers and employees who thrive on conflict. By using this strength, I can sit down with both individuals who have a conflict and guide them towards resolution by breaking down what goal we need to work towards and what it takes for us to get…

Women have been oppressed and have been struggling for freedom from patriarchy. They have tried to free themselves from the confinement in the domestic sphere that men have created for them. In the short stories, “The Story of an Hour” by Kate Chopin, and “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, the protagonists, both female, experience similar situations in which they try to free themselves from their confining husbands. Both characters follow different paths to their freedom; one fights to get her freedom mentally, while the other acquires it momentarily through an accident. My hard work, determination and ability to see “outside the box” and grow from new experiences and changes would set me apart from others. I am also able to give people and new ideas chances for hope and opportunity when others might reject them. I can use those new ideas and make something meaningful out of them. I can take the positive out of people and situations that may not always be positive. I try to take negative situations and turn them around. I can give patients and individuals hope where they don’t see any and I like to give patients and people options where they may see none. Therefore, a strength I have in nursing would be the ability to give people hope and opportunities through my hard work and caring and from a positive outlook and attitude and through a good behavioral example in daily…
