In my time at HIU, I can apply my five strengths to help me academically and in extracurricular activities. When it comes to academics, the most beneficial strength of mine that can be applied is the strength, deliberative. With deliberative as one of my strengths I am careful and vigilant. I plan ahead and take precautions. This can help me academically because I can use my planning skills to be organized. I can use an agenda to keep track
of my assignments and projects and carefully plan out a schedule to complete them. I can also use my futuristic strengthen with my deliberative to plan for the future. I can see what classes I need and organize my schedule so that I can graduate in four years without any possibilities of missing credits. The same way I apply my strengths to academics, I can also apply them to extra curricular activities. During college, I plan on participating in extracurricular activities like volunteer work. My strength, belief, says I like to find meaningful work and this is true. That is why I plan on involving myself with volunteer work because I find helping people meaningful. The more I use my strengths and familiarize myself with them, I can use those same 5 strengths in my career. When you learn how to use your strengths, you can use them in any employment. I can use context as a strength in any job. in anyI can apply my top five strengths in my career as a marriage and family therapist. With context as a strength, I look back to past and study it. I can then change something to make it better and learn from the past. Specific to my marriage and family therapist career, I can apply my strength as a relator. Relator can help me connect with my clients because as a realtor, I want to understand their feelings.
Strength is a good or beneficial quality or attribute of a person or thing. My five strengths are deliberative, context, futuristic, relator and belief. My strengths will be useful in academics and in extra curricular activities in college. My strengths, especially the realtor strength, will be useful in my career as a marriage and family therapist.
