To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing to request an appeal of the dismissal decision from Keller Graduate. I was not surprised to receive dismissal, but very disappointed for my poor performance. Nevertheless, I would like to urge you to reinstate me for this coming up semester.
I have no excuses, but I would like to explain circumstances. Since the first dismissal, I knew that it would require more of me to do well both in school and at work. With four classes left, I knew I was on a mission to finish MBA within 2012, and that I had to hire a manager to help me overlook my bar business. I promoted one of the bartenders to be floor manager to handle my work burdens on the weekend nights (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). I would handle the day-to-day operation, Monday to Wednesday. His main tasks were to handle overall customer service, sales and staffs’ tips money report, and business’s drop money. I still think I could be on track to graduate by the end of 2012, except the manager who I promoted was caught dishonesty with handling drop money and tips money to other bartenders. A camera over cash register caught that he canceled a few cash tickets, so the tips were bigger. I admitted, I was very distracted with the situation, and was unable to focus on my schoolwork. As owner, I terminated this manager, and worked double for a few weeks. Instead of communicate with my professors about what happened, I thought I could handle the school and work load. I was wrong.
Needless to say, I love ... , and would mean so much to me to graduate with a master degree from ... . My parents plan to visit me this March as they thought I would be done with master degree and would attend graduation ceremony some time in March or April. I recently told them what happened, and when I tried returning to school last semester, I was informed with the dismissal and was too late to get the appeal letter in on time for
