This says people should not be judged by their race or colour they should be judged by their personality and character. In this novel, "the war between classes", racism is revealed in many ways, like calling people racist names, or even saying they're smart because of their colour. Mr. Otero's "colour game" separated all the colours to represent different races, social statuses, and income levels. even though racism still exists today, people should not let it get in the way of their opinions, like what amy did. She united all the colours and made them wear "all colours unite armbands".
