When the Socs were about to beat up Ponyboy and Johnny as well as other greasers came to the scene to help fight them. Steve always changes his story, telling the jury one thing but writing something else in his notebook. While on the stand, his lawyer begins to question him: “O’Brien: ‘Mr. Harmon, were you in the drugstore owned by Mr. Nesbitt, the victim, on the 22nd of December of last year?’ Steve: ‘No, I was not’”(223).…
The Curtis boys eat chocolate cake every morning, page 105 says this “The first one up has to make breakfast, I started to find the eggs we need for our chocolate cake we eat every morning for breakfast, along with our chocolate milk.” This is some proof that Ponyboy should go to the system. He would be better off with the system because, the cake has a lot of sugar and it’s he’s eating a block of sugar everyday. So if Ponyboy stays with Darry he could get bad stomach problems involving diabetes and stomach and health issues. So the opponents that are on Darry’s side might argue that “ He’s a kid let him eat what he wants.” Then back to the system side, “ What’s good with letting him eat what he wants, when it could lead him to health issues, body problems, and possibly dying. So now that the system has a step up, Ponyboy will be better off with the system because they will make sure he gets a good breakfast EVERY MORNING!…

the last book of the Winnie sires is when they go to summer camp. Winnie's boyfriend lars is a year older than her and loves her. her best friend's cinnamon and dinah are total weirdoes. worst of all, Sandra is going to collage!!!my faveret part of this book is the needlepoint bathroom scene. "there was a framed sign above the toilet, and it was needlepointed, and i said, If It's Yellow,Let It Mellow. If It;s Brown Flush It Down. this is my favorite scene because it is hilarious.…
The real main character of The outsiders is still Ponyboy. After all it seems like he wrote the book because of one full circle quote. “ When I stepped out into the bright sunlight from the darkness of the movie house, I had only two things on my mind: Paul Newman and a ride home…” (Pg 1 and 180). In addition to having him write the book he is ultimately the main character because it is written from his point of view. For example, almost every line in the book has him thinking in it or describing something through his eyes. “I had walked down…” (Pg 31) or “...this church gave me a creepy feeling.” (Pg 67). All in all Ponyboy has changed as a character through the book and is indeed the main character.…

Everything was okay! (screams, hands in hair) I remember when we would dance around here, the girls, Abigail and I. When the days passed by, weeks at a time. (spinning around, arms in the air) When we spent hour after hour laughing, singing, dancing.…
I pulled my beanie securely on my head as I crouched down on a sturdy tree branch. My hunting knife reflected the dim light of the moon. It glinted letting my prey know I was there. "Yeah, I love a good chase!" I jumped from branch to branch as I chase my target. His brown hair was starting to gray but he ran pretty good for someone in their late forties. At least that's what boss lady said. I jumped down quietly as the man began to get tired. He began huffing as his pace slowed. I knocked into his back sending him into a tree. His chest heavily moved with his ragged breaths. I slowly approached him as I pulled my hunting knife back out. "Let play," I said in a deadpan tone. My eyes lost their light as I stared down at him.…
As I stood up, I felt a rush of blood to my cheeks and saw my glasses fogging up. The teacher had asked me to come with her, after punishing another child. Was I in trouble too? Though I could be in trouble, I walked toward the teacher. As I followed my teacher out of the classroom, I saw that her expression was grim.…
The bitter night Avah was killed the whole town was out celebrating. The Spring Festival was an annual affair and only the most isolated of persons would have not been there. It was a festival meticulously planned out by those intrigued in such matters and each detail was carried out to exact perfection. The Humphrey family would perform a skit each year at exactly six-thirty, the mayor would grace the audience with a well-planned speech at six-forty-five. At seven o’clock the potluck dessert would be brought out by the women and then once a half hour had passed, enough time for the people to converse with each other, the festival games would begin.…
We met up with Al Capone and his followers to begin the rumble. We all stood there silently until the North showed up. There were only 5 of them and 7 of us. There was me, Gerald, Robert, James, Al Capone and 2 others, but I didn’t really pay attention to them. John and William The tension was intensifying and I couldn’t hold back and I began to run towards the North side gang. Then everyone else followed. There was punches being thrown and gashes to the arms and legs being given. I was terrified of what would happen to me and especially the boys. Taking into consideration I was a female no one was going for me. But I had already picked out the person I was going for. He had a tough, hard look to him. He had smoldering dark eyes with curly…
He told me what really happened. He tried to catch a ride on the back of a cab, and ended up getting dragged for a couple of…
I couldn't agree more with you on your description of Dogberry. My first impression of his role was rather humorous. He seems to be a bit scatterbrained from his poor English to his amusing facial expressions. Even with his team's limited skill, they are fortunate enough to unintentionally bring Don John conspiracy to light within the play. Dogberrys reaction to solving crimes is to a certain degree astonishing. Your description of this character gave me an improved representation of Dogberrys significance of his role throughout the play. I also discussed Benedick this week, my view of his character was our day and age bad boy type personality. In the beginning, he uses critical humor to give the audience an appearance of his alpha…
