Ponyboy would try to run from a fight with Socs in the beginning. But after going thru some tuff times he changed. But at the end of the book, if there is about to be a fight with some
Socs he is willing to go in head first and get it over with. Do you think this is a good or bad change. In the beginning Ponyboy was a little skiddish and tried to run from trouble. For an example,

The thing that makes no sence is that he gives them time to catch up to him. Why did he not flat out run. He probably could have lost them in the chase.
