Racism is dangerous. It weakens individuals confidence by downgrading their self-worth with focus on something outside of their control. It pulverises group attachment and makes divisions in public. The Canadian Police force has been accused of racism in the past, and one of the most notable examples is Saskatoon’s ‘Starlight Tours’ (Hamilton 224) in connection to First Nations men. The Starlight Tours are a police rehearse whereby law enforcement officers move First Nations in urban settings, drive them to remote rural regions and drop them off, paying little mind to freezing temperatures (Adams 11). This practice has occurred in and around Saskatoon. The police supposedly do this since they are baffled with First Nations men who are impaired and as opposed to booking them they think that it is less demanding to drop them off in a segregated range without sanctuary with little thought to the freezing temperatures.
