Recently there has been a lot of controversy over the impending presidential election. What exactly qualifies someone to be president? Well a president needs to have a basic understanding of what is right from what is wrong. A president must be able to take responsibility for their actions and the consequences that may follow. The United States of America has high expectations for presidential candidates, each candidate should have existential qualities in order to fulfil their role as the president. In order to question the leadership ability of a president, one must decide whether or not the level of expectation can be reached. The country is constantly trying to make up for all the wrong doings since the creation of the nation. But are the current candidates a good representation of existential America? With the racist billionaire, the self-proclaimed socialist, and the liar there is not one candidate that stands out above the rest. Well some do stand out but not in positive ways. Yet why do people seem to be impressed? America is not perfect and a lot of the issues that the country is faced with are self-inflicted. Instead these candidates chose to blame other countries for the curvy direction America is headed in. Candidates should stop making promises to voters that are not realistic. Instead candidates should try to be honest, a person’s integrity would be a pleasant surprise. Personally I look for honesty in a candidate. I would not want a liar to run the
