The Articles of Confederation also failed miserably. One thing a nation needs is a constitution, which is where the New Nation ran into problems trying to create the Bill of Rights. They couldn’t even stop the states from making agreements with other nations. According to Digitalhistory.uh.edu “Challenges Facing the New Nation,” it states, “The Bill of Rights also ensured that the national government could not infringe on the right to trial by jury. The state owes another $25 million. Paper money issued under the Continental Congresses and Articles of Confederation was worthless.” (2973).
