The Child Protection policy provides a secure and consistent framework for the protection of children so that everyone is clear about their responsibilities. My placement policy states that they have a moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children. The policy states that the staff must work to provide a safe and welcoming environment where children and adults feel safe and secure, able to talk and are listened to. The policy gives staff and parents with the framework they need in order to keep children safe and secure. It is the policy of the setting to give a consistent approach for everyone to protect and safeguard children by: providing a safe environment to learn and develop; recognise signs and symptoms of abuse; share information quickly; listen to the children; checking the suitability of staff to work with children and keeping clear records.
