When initially developing my learning objectives I had taken many things into consideration because they were all certain points that I knew occurred amongst the flock year around and there importance they play. My first one I had set for myself was to properly administer vaccinations and worming, doing so on sheep of all ages and sizes. Also taking into consideration during the fall treatment whether these sheep are going to bred or not and if so ensuring that they are given the proper vaccines to provide for a healthy pregnancy. My second one plays hand in hand with my first one which is to properly handle the sheep as I maneuver there body to administer vaccines, worming, shearing, hoof trimming, and castration of a male no longer being used in the breeding program. This is important in maintain a healthy flock giving the shepherd the ability to observe the flock in a up close and personal health examination to allow to notify if something is outta place or needs to be taken care of. As I continue with my learning experience at Autumn Breeze Acres I intend to work hand in hand with my learning objectives as I am being given the opportunity to develop my very own classroom so to speak in the barn on a daily basis giving me the availability to continue becoming a well educated individual in the sheep industry. Also allowing me to create a schedule in which things need to be done accordingly for lambing this time of year such as shearing and administering the proper vaccines needed to protect these animals from any applicable diseases into the body.
