Explain What Is Your Belief About Human Nature And The Afterlife
1. What is your belief about ultimate reality? Ultimate reality to me is questioning oneself if God truly exists. One person may believe that God exist and another person may believe that God does not exists. This explains that everyone has different worldview and their worldview will shape them significantly.

2. What is your belief about the nature of the universe? I believe that the nature of the universe is so enormous that it has its own force of energy. I envisioned the energy to be really strong like there is a spirit in charge of that force.

3. What is your belief about human nature and the afterlife? Human nature is composing of bodies and soul. If you believe in afterlife, then your soul will leave the body and continue on to

These larger questions of the soul and the mind and their existence beyond human death has been debated and explored throughout time. Yet, we lack hard evidence to support the idea of the existence of the soul and its continued ‘life’ beyond the death of the body. Individuals have not returned from the grave to transmit this knowledge in any manner that can be tested, studied, and deemed true. What a soul is and why we have it is unique to the human experience. The Abrahamic traditions defines the soul as the “I” that lives within our body and acts through it. The soul is what makes each individual unique according to theologian Thomas Aquinas. Noted philosophers Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, all argued that the psyche or, the soul, was the “crown of the logical facilities”. Yet the mind is responsible for processing our human experiences and storing them as learned experiences that shape and mold our continued existence.…

Humans seem to be an entity made up by a combination of both physical properties and mental properties. Folk psychology of soul proposed by Bering (2006) suggested “common-sense mind-body dualism” is a cognitive adaptation that evolved through natural selection. According to this quote, it is believed that individual is fundamentally constituted of body, mind and volition. For centuries, people have tried to discover what makes an individual from philosophical, psychological and physiological perspectives. At different stages of this knowledge in understanding human beings, behaviourism, humanism and the study of consciousness will be critically evaluated in this discussion.…

When I die I think that I am going straight to heaven. I say this because of the death of Jesus. When he did Jesus went to hell and freed the ones that had died before and had trusted in him. Thus proving the point that we no longer had to stay in hell until the perfect sacrifice was made. Also when I die I believe that my earthly body will decompose but my spirit shall ask just as the spirits of those who died and believed with the only difference being that it will happen as soon as I die.…

In conclusion, I agree with the statement, because we can’t see the soul and there is no proof of its existence. Also, I think NDEs are just scientific phenomenon that we not yet know about, and DNA and electric impulses in our mind control our body, but not souls. Moreover, soul is more a religious idea than a scientific idea, and I think science is more reliable. Therefore, I don’t think we have a soul.…

    1) The soul and the body are different forms. While the body is visible and mortal, the soul is invisible and immortal. He suggests that although the body dies and decays, the soul continues to exist. I do believe there is life after death, everyone must eventually die, and it cannot be avoided. However, even though death is a fact of life, it is a topic that many people prefer not to talk about. This avoidance of discussion is usually due to the denial of one’s own death and the denial is usually due to fear. The fear is, for many people, a fear of the unknown. In my opinion i believe that when humans die, the body and the brain dies, but the mind still exists and it creates our afterlife according to our own beliefs and expectations. If a person believes there in nothing after death then there will not be a dream, it will be as if the person is asleep forever without dreaming.…

So what are the mind, body and soul? The mind is defined as the part that processes reason, thinks, feels, wills, perceives, and judges the processes of the human brain. It is the totality of the conscious and unconscious thought processes and activities (Dictionary.com, 2011). The body is the physical being that can be seen with the naked eye. This brings us to the question of: what is a soul? According to the dictionary the soul is “the principle of life, feeling, thought, and action in humans, regarded as a distinct entity separate from the body and the mind; the spiritual part of humans as distinct from the physical part. Also believed to survive death and be subject to happiness or misery in the life after death: assuming the immortality of the soul […

Metaphysics is a vast subject to speak on. With that being said, you will have so many different opinions. Like myself I believe in a soul. I believe in God, sometimes when I go through bad situations, I may pray and ask, “Is my life determined by fate? Is what I am going through right now real?” Also, seeing that I believe in a soul, one might question how does the soul live outside the body? Or is there even a such thing as a soul? To me a soul is real, as far as if it lives outside the body I could not answer that question. Maybe once you pass away it lives outside the body. Some believe that a soul is only just ruling a human body. I believe it is just something we may never discover.…

The three primary components of my personal worldview are God, spiritual knowledge, and ethics - because they strongly influence all my thoughts, experiences, and life decisions. Putting God first in my life is sometimes rather difficult. It’s probably the most difficult thing for any Christian person to do. However, it’s probably meant to be difficult as a testimony of faith. God has great wisdom to impart to each one of us, but we must always put him first in our lives if we are to reap the benefits. As I’ve learned to view my life from God 's eternal perspective it became easier to understand what will last for eternity and what will be destroyed. My belief in a loving and forgiving God plays an important role in my daily life.…
