If you split up then the bills can be stressful and hard to maintain on your own. Having a child with that person can also stir up problems, such as child support. Now if you know that a person is the child's father and and ask him to help you support the child and he denies the fact that he is the child’s father you can sue him for a paternity test. If the father can not afford to get a lawyer one will be appointed for him. He will have to give blood and so will the child and mother to make sure that the mother is who she says she is and to insure that the man is the child’s father. The argument can be settled by a paternity agreement but if no answer comes from that then he will be taken to a judge for it to be settled. Parenting time is the legal term that refers to the opportunity for the child to spend time with the parent who does not have sole legal custody or the non-custodial parent. It is sometimes referred to as access, contact, residential time or visitation. Most custody and parenting time problems present themselves during the dissolution of marriage or divorce of a couple, but custody issues can arise at any time or between parents who were never married. It’s also important to note that custody and parenting time concerns and issues do not necessarily go away once the divorce is final. Parents will often have disagreements regarding the child’s health, welfare and education, residency, and the amount of time a non-custodial parent gets to spend with the child. Next,If you are old enough to stand up for yourself and make your own decisions, you should be accounted for as an adult. When a person becomes independent the parents should realize that their child isn’t a child anymore but a young adult. For instance, “young people are also remaining dependent on parents financially far longer, often leaving them less likely to perceive themselves as adults” as said by Barbara Hofer on page 240. This explains that if parents raise their kids to be too dependent on them, they might not grow up to be adults but rely always on their parents.…
