Explain Why Eye Contact Is One Of The Important Communication Skills
Eye contact and facial expression is one of the important caring skills. Eye contact is an important part of using effective communication skills. Eye contact can help to establish trust between care workers and clients. Facial expressions are also important in communication. A smile tends to produce a positive response from clients. Using positive eye contact and facial expressions can also help gain compliance from a client. For example, the special educational needs teacher, support assistant, special educational needs teacher and therapist would ensure that would ensure that they use eye contact and facial expression. Also, modelling means observing and imitating the behaviour of another person. Practitioners can help clients to learn new, more effective ways of behaving by acting as models rather than telling someone how to behave, the practitioner demonstrates appropriate behaviour and encourages the client to copy this.

This is because Karim needs extra help due to having autism. Therefore, if the special educational needs teacher, support assistant, special education needs assistant or therapist do modelling by showing Karim how to do it. For example, show Karim how to draw a 3D shape the cube. This would ensure that he would understand. This would provide the life quality factor social support.

The communication skills is a very important caring skill. This is because it is important for the special educational needs teacher; special education needs assistant, support assistant or therapist to communicate with their colleagues. This is because without communication skills they won’t be able to work well with one another. Also, good communication skills would ensure that they are all good listeners and answer to questions with one another.

Modelling is an important caring skill. Also, modelling means observing and imitating the behaviour of another
