It is very important that the laboratory procedures and practices are communicated throughout the lab for the most important reason being safety. This prevents any danger and minimises risks as much as possible. For example the chemical store management minimises risks by following the correct procedures and storing the chemicals in the correct and safe places. This minimises the risks of explosion, spillages, fires etc. The technicians in the laboratory communicate this through verbal communication as they say it is easier to make things clear and to emphasise the importance for theirs and everybody else’s safety. This information about storing chemicals is also communicated through written communication, again to emphasise the importance of following this procedure for their safety.
