Known to be inherently vicious and one of the only dogs to have locking jaw, were once one of America’s favourite dogs. Unpredictable and can never be trusted are just some more misconceptions of this well behaved dog. This breed is called a Pit Bull. Pit Bulls are not a breed but dogs put in to a category based on their appearances. Those who fall into this category should have a big head with a short, square muzzle, brindle in colour, large in size, muscular build, docked tails and many more characteristics. The thing is, some of these are not even common to Pit Bulls (Pit Bull University). Pit Bulls are the most misunderstood dogs in today’s society and things don’t seem to be lighting up. The breed should not be banned because it is not…

The topic I choose to write about is “Pit Bulls – should this breed be banned?” Pit Bulls should not be banned. Over the past years in the United States, Pit Bulls have been portrayed as a breed who is extremely dangerous and untrustworthy that some States are banning ownership of this breed. This breed should not be banned simply because of unfortunate events. It is not until recently that the negative images these dogs are facing by the media started. One may hear or read headlines in the news stating “Child mauled by a Pit Bull,” or “Owner killed by a Pit Bull,” yet the media does not disclose that certain dog’s upbringing…

    1. Thugs who need a tough dog to feel tough intentionally doing everything they can to make their dogs mean. This includes, beating, starving, baiting, feeding weird crap like gunpowder....They also never socialize, train, or neuter their dogs. This intentionally creates a dog that is both dog and human aggressive and will most likely kill other pets and end up being euthanized for biting someone.…

Using the RFID chips in school is a bad idea because parents don't like that their kids are being used as guinea pigs to test the chip. They don't like that their kids privacy are being invaded. According to Kim Zetter (American Freelance journalist), "Schools superintendents struck a deal with a local maker of the technology last year to test the system to track a attendance and weed out trespassers." This quote shows that these students are being tested like guinea pigs which shouldn't be their job to test these chips. They should have some adults test these chips. Having students test the RFID chip should not be allowed because parents do not like their kids testing the chip.…

Pit bulls are being banned worldwide because they are being raised with irresponsible owners and are being trained to be vicious, causing pit bulls to terrorize communities, and attack people and dogs causing the highest mortality rate of all dog breed attacks. The way communities, cities, states, and countries are handling this, is with breed-specific legislation. Pit bull breeds are being banned which does not only target pit pets who are trained to be vicious but pit’s that are good pets as well. I believe this does absolutely nothing to control the terror that vicious dogs are bringing to neighborhoods, because instead of the trainer being the one to blame, the animal doing what they are trained to do is being targeted against. Just because pit bull breeds are the main breed that trainers; who want a vicious, obedient, attacking fight dog favor during these times, does not mean the specific breed is vicious. The ban on pit bulls will just cause irresponsible trainers to find a new dog breed to train the same way. There are many things to take into account before breed-specific legislation should be used in communities, including facts about the…

Many things go on in vet schools but the most unhuman issue is the amount of animals that are put to death each year for the use of veterinarian students. This is unethical on so many levels. However my main concern is that they are unexperienced and could hurt the animals that they are preforming surgery for or permanently harm them. This relates to being untrustworthy because you can not trust the to care for the animals and help them how they need to be helped. They most likely don't have consent from the owner to change any aspect of the dog that could permanently effect it. Overall this is unhuman and unethical.…

Animal testing has been a topic of debate for many generations. It is difficult to imagine a common house hold pet subjected to extreme procedures of the mildest and painless form to the harshest form imaginable. I am talking about your average mouse, rabbit, cat or dog. At the same time, consumers want to be assured they are using the safest products available, and people want science to find cures for life-threatening diseases. Lately, science has tried to prove out theories and hypnosis through computer algorithms but we still have to rely on physical subjects like the animals referenced. There is no public argument that says we should not test products before entering the market, the debate is the method by which these products should be tested. Animal testing is necessary for biomedical research, but should be eradicated for vanity reasons in terms of cosmetics.…

The second reason why we should not allow guns on college campuses would be because some student could be emotionally traumatised from an experience involving guns. Such as Danielle Vabner, a UT student who “lost her 6-year-old brother in the 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting” joined a rally to support the need of Gun Free colleges. Especially if the intention was “to harm others”, this person could potentially feel triggered by that situation when in the presence of a gun.…

Stress and pain, those are just a couple of words that describe what young animals’ experience during their time in animal testing. With all the technology we have in this world, we shouldn’t have to waste young animals lives. Animal testing is when certain companies such as but not limited to Tide, Lysol, and Windex test their products and even medication on small animals to see how they react to the product. Some say that animal testing is a needed resource for research. While others say that animal testing is unethical and cruel towards the animals . Animal testing should be banned because, there are many other ways to test these products, animal testing is unethical, and animal testing is not accurate enough for the price tag attached to the testing.…

The use of animals to test human drugs and cosmetic products and to conduct pointless laboratory experiments is unconventional. Humans and animals are similar, but they are not identical, so using animals to test products intended for humans does not make sense. Each year millions of animals are killed or badly maimed in laboratory experiments. Animal testings must be banned. The tests are usually proven to be ineffective, they waste tremendous amounts of money, the tests are cruel, and there are other ways to test drugs and cosmetic products.…

Have you ever thought about the animals that are being brutally tested? Or the cute lovable animals you see everyday. The ones that have owners and live in a house? Or the ones without owners and live in steel cages hating their life? I am against animal testing and it should be banned, it’s pointless and isn’t helping anybody, so many things could go wrong so fast, and finally the laws aren’t strict enough. Those are my reasons why I think that animal testing should be banned.…
