Due to the severe depression, I would suggest treatment such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or interpersonal psychotherapy, in addition to one or more medications. I would introduce the client to the concept of CBT as a treatment method. I would talk about the equal, collaborative relationship that this form of therapy requires. This would reinforce the need on the part of the client to feel in control and to work with me rather than expect me to 'cure’ her.…
Two populations that I might work with as a human service professional are “Push-outs” were forced out of their homes by parents are landlords and Runaways leaving their homes because of an intolerable situation that they can not bear it anymore. With an intervention, we are going to make things better for the client. As a human service professional I will need to identify the problem and develop realistic objectives to help establish a timeline to measure the process. For the push-outs and runaways, I would help both groups with finding shelter. Finding temporary shelter with the hope of finding a permanent home so they will be able to have a place to call home. The three shelters offered are emergency shelters, and daytime drop-in centers…

Accordingly, we also wanted to make sure that the couple was doing their homework because Couple Power Therapy (CPT) builds upon itself to co-create the evolving couple which is an ongoing process.…

The benefits of peer-mediated interventions extend to the typical learning children as well. Many typical peers reported gaining a higher level of tolerance and a deeper sense of empathy than before they entered the programs (Hughes et al., 2013). In Hockman (2015) the peers stated, “… they enjoyed participating in this project, indicated they would be a peer partner again, and thought their school should have more peer groups" (Hochman, 2015, p. 114). In Watkins’ (2015) report, the program was declared to be “acceptable to both participant and peers” and went on to state there were “high rates of satisfaction” from the all of the peer children (p. 1080). Assuredly, providing typical peers with opportunities to exhibit responsibility and…
