Faith Goggins Alternate Ending
Faith Goggins was only 10 years & lived with her mother & had a beautiful cat named Smokey. Faith's cat was only a year old. Faith went into the hospital because she had a severe asthma attack. One day when Faith came home from the hospital, she went to go look for Smokey, but there was no sign of her. Faith ran fiercely upstairs & went to go ask her mother where Smokey was, but mom didn't answer. Faith then went for a walk to clear her mind. The day Faith came back home from her walk, she went to her mother & asked, "why did someone let Smokey out while I wasn't here?" She gave no response. Faith got very furious & ran to her room & started crying. Faith's mother came in the room & told what happened to her cat smokey. She says "your sister let her out by accident & didn't know that she went outside. She noticed that she wasn't inside so she thought she was in your room & then she went to go take a nap." Faith was furious & thought that something wasn't adding up & wasn't making sense to her. …show more content…
She grieves over her cats's death. Faith starts thinking to herself that she can get another cat that looked exactly like Smokey. She walks out her room & goes to her sister & tells her that it's okay that she let smokey out because Smokey is in a better place. She then, left & went upstairs & started talking to her cat's picture that she has & said "it's gonna be okay smokey , I'll make sure I bring you back. Months after smokey passed, Faith planned a memorial for her cat's death in her remembrance. Faith's sister came home one day with a big box & a lot of bags. Her sister then puts the stuff on Faith's bed! Faith goes in the room & she hears a soft meow come from the box. She opened the box with joy & in the box...... There it was...... AN ALL GREY KITTEN THAT LOOKED LIKE SMOKEY! Faith jumped up with so much joy & gave her sister a huge hug & thanked her. Inside the bad were stuff to take care of the kitten.

    The grandmother's concerns about the trip foreshadow the events in the story. When the family decides to take a trip to Florida, the grandmother shows her worry about a Misfit heading their way.
