Other Side of the Sky by Farah Ahmedi and Tanim Ansary is many things; encouraging, determined, and loving. in the story, a mom and a young girl are trying to get through the gates to Pakistan but are unable to get through. The girl and her mother meet a new family that put other people's needs before theirs. The family felt pety for them and and took them there way to Pakistan.

The girl and her mom were trying to get through the gates to pakistan with many other people trying to get through. Every time the crowd would push up against the gates, the guards would push them back trying to stop them. Well on that day the girl saw that the guards were taking bribes to let people through. But, that wouldn't help one bit they had very little money and that was for the stuff they need for pakistan.
"The world is full of nice people, if you can't find one be one." There was no chance for them to get to Pakistan so they just did what they could do and sit down and wait.
Well in their luck they sat in the right place at the right time. They sat by a family that was nice and helpful, the father Ghulam Ali was off searching a goat trail so he was going to be awhile. Wall he was gone the mom told the family their story, the family took pity on them and told them they could stay. That night Ghulam Ali came back with great news the goat trail had worked and can get them to
Pakistan.

In the story Ghulam Ali was a brave and helpful person who never thought twice before helping someone. Even though he was not there to hear the story he still stayed on there side and led them to Pakistan.

Ghulam Ali told everyone to get some rest for the next day, they would go through the goat trail and get to Pakistan. The next day everyone got up and waited for the sun to down so they could start on the trail. Dusk came up behind them and that was the time to leave, Ghulam Ali bribed a guard to keep the path door open. They went through and it was only suppose to take a few hours but the girl's mom had to stop every few minutes but Ghulam Ali helpt her every time she stopped. Finally they made it with the help and gratitude of Ghulam Ali they made it to Pakistan. "In the end we only regret the chances we didnt take."
