PROJECT PROPOSAL GUIDELINES
Introduction
What you wish to achieve in the document. This should be brief.
E-Menu is an innovation to revolutionise the way in which menus are being digitalised in order to attract more and more customers for an unusual dining experience. It is focused on making the very best customer experience possible.

Background Information
Write briefly about the custodians of the system i.e. those whom you are developing the system for. If it is a company write what it does i.e. its core business.
The system we are developing is to be used by hotels mostly five star hotels and restaurants where customers first take a table and then make an order.

Problem Definition
Why the custodians of the system need the system. What you hope to solve. The problem should be genuine and must hold water. Make us feel that there is need for whatever solution you wish to provide. Do not write why you want to embark on the project on this section.
Hotels have been known of placing a menu card or menu paper on the table so that a customer gets to read it and select the food he/ she wants to eat while a waiter is noting down by his side. Mostly for financial reasons hotels seems to be mostly understaffed and getting the limited waiters’ attention becomes a struggle. If not carefully maintained the menu papers wear away so quickly and sometimes get blown away from the tables only for customers to wait for a waiter to bring them one and after which they are not so sure of how long it is going to take for their meal to come if they want to enquire they have to shot waiter or ring a bell if supplied on the table or the most annoying sound. Also the fact that feedback is very limited after making orders is a problem for management to know of areas which need attention.
Objectives
These are drawn from the problem definition. This is the most important part of the proposal. Objectives highlight what you wish to achieve. Objectives should be Specific,

Olive Garden is committed to providing every guest with a genuine Italian dining experience and make the guest feel like they are family; in Italian it is called Hospitaliano! In an effort to have competitive advantage over other chain restaurants, Olive Garden emphasizes comprehensive employee trainings in order to provide their customers the best service possible. But even though employees have gone through training, there are some issues that would need to be fixed in order to have 100% customer satisfaction. The issues we have identified for Olive Garden Restaurants are the hostess system, reservations, running of the food, and inputting the order. The hostess system will be implemented by working with the IT department to change the system. The second issue is with the reservations; we suggest taking reservations for a party of five or more and will be placed on top of the list once they arrive to the restaurant instead of having to wait. The third issue is the running of the food; we plan on hiring additional workers who are dedicated to run the food. And the final issue is inputting the guests order, we suggest additional training for the employees or an additional “cheat sheet” stating the times each entrée needs in order to be prepared.…
