With the revolution of producing food, concurring with the advancement of agricultural technology, it reformed the method in which food is mass produced for a mass population. Although the idea appeared to be efficient and positive, it brought many negative repercussions. What really shocked me was usage of corn and how cows were fed with corn in spite of the fact that corn is not their natural food. This was done by the company’s because of how cheap the cost of corn is and how it positively effects the growth of the animals. Furthermore, the mass production of corn unsurprisingly uses a huge amount of land. According to the movie, approximately 30% of the United States land is used strictly for growing corn. The land that corn grown could potentially be used for producing other foods that are actually healthy.
