HISTORY
Ford Motor Company is an American multinational automaker whose headquarter is based in Dearborn, Michigan. It was founded by Henry Ford. The Ford Motor Company was incorporated in 1903. The Ford Oval trademark was first introduced in 1907. Groups of two or three men with the company produced only a few cars a day at the Ford factory on Mack Avenue. Each car was built from components made to order when place by other companies. Henry Ford was years old when he builds a self-propelled vehicle with a gasoline.
Ford India: Ford India Pvt Ltd was established in 1995. Ford India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, which is a global automotive industry leader. It currently is the 6th largest car maker in India after Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata, Mahindra and Chevrolet. Ford India manufactures the automobiles and engines at Maraimalai Nagar, near Chennai. All engines and automobiles are manufactured with the help of modern integrated manufacturing facilities. The modern era production of Ford India Private Limited started in 1996, although the roots of the same were planted in 1907 when the Model A was launched. Ford India Private Limited started the production in 1926, but it was closed down in 1954 as the company was incurring losses year on year.
