For example, I originally was observing another boy, but his mother happened to come pick him up about 10 minutes into my observation. Observation Context: Child Development Lab, classroom 2: Morning; Stations
Observation Plan: Observe the child closely to see if the child has developed significant behaviors marking the milestone of a four-year old child. Paying close attention whether the behaviors the child exhibits are connected to any theories learned in class such as Pavlov, Bowlby, Erikson, Piaget, Freud, etc.
Description of Physical and Social Setting: The observation is taking place in a classroom where there are tables set up with different hands on activities are laid out for children to play with and pass time. The result of play time in stations was children interacting with one another loudly, where you can hear the occasional questions and conversations of the children. There were four tables and the children played at the stations for about 25-30 minutes. The setting after is the carpet where the children gathered around the teacher singing songs and listening to her read a book while lunch was set up for them.
