Types of Anxiety Disorders and its Symptoms People get anxious in their everyday life just by worrying what to eat, how to earn
money, how to finish a work before its deadline, how to pass their job interview, etc.
Anxiety is among the second most common psychiatric disorders among children,
adolescents and adults. Anxiety disorders are characterized by distorted beliefs about the
dangerousness of certain situations and/or internal stimuli. (Clark, 1999)

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) One of the most common type of anxiety disorder is called Generalized Anxiety
Disorder (GAD). GAD is recognized when one experiences excessive worry, tension, and anxious feelings on a daily basis. GAD can be considered primary or secondary depending on the onset. If GAD occurs early in life without any other diagnoses, then it is considered primary. However if GAD develops later in life and there are other disorders present, it is considered secondary in nature.
