The generation gap often leads to conflicts in the workplace: a baby boomer who denounces the attitude of a young Generation Y or, conversely, a young person who is offended by archaic methods used by the employer, are common behaviors that happen. In today’s society, the word conflict can carry quite a negative connotation. It is a very rare occasion indeed, that this word can conjure feelings of positivity or purpose. Oftentimes, conflict is perceived as something that should be avoided at all costs in the pursuit of tranquil exchanges and composed conversation. Warm smiles are exchanged and happy dispositions follow with dreamy glances of wondrous acquiescence.
