I was more intrigued in the paranormal when I had seen an apparition of a life-long friend of my family who had tragically passed away just two days before I turned 8 years old.
I will never forget how the apparition fascinated me as to how it looked so much like the friend with features so similar it was like he was there. As if he had never passed. Of course, this could be just my imagination since I was just 11 years old. I kept seeing apparitions for years to come after that experience. At church one Sunday, I was walking back from the classrooms back to where service was being held. Walking through one of the doors, was our former pastor and his wife, whom died in a car accident a few years down the road. Since these experiences, my views towards the paranormal
strengthened.
The paranormal is an interesting subject to be intrigued by, and you will be surprised how many others are interested in the subject of the paranormal as well. In the eighth grade, I became friends with a girl that not a lot of people liked because of how weird she was. To this day, we are still the best of friends. My friend also enjoys the thoughts and facts of the paranormal and other creepy things in the world. Her family revolved themselves around the fact behind the paranormal, and regularly visits Waverly Hill Sanatorium in Louisville. Last Spring, I had the opportunity to tag along on the tour. Even though the tour was just two hours, this Summer, since I at the age of 18, they are taking me back with him for a full 6-hour tour, with no guide. Her family has shown me actual photos they have taken on their visit, and the effects are astonishing.
From being one who as a child always got creeped out by the existence of the paranormal and the stories told, I have grown up to accept the fact that there are other people out in the paranormal world besides us. I hope that children these days that gets scared from the spooky stories their siblings or friends tell them grow up to acknowledge the existence of the paranormal.
