Giant City Graduation Speech
Hello everyone, and thank you for attending our Giant City graduation tonight. I would first like to start by paying recognition to the ones who have gotten my classmates and I where we are today. To the teachers and staff who have helped us through all these years and never gave up on us. To all the parents and family who have supported us and have done so much for us. And to my classmates themselves whom have made these years together so great and memorable. I thank all of you.

I’m sure most of us remember what is was like in our first days here where we were just starting our journey here as the little ones scared of the older kids. We have all come a long way since those days, I mean look at us now, we all know our ABC’s, we learned that you can’t base your friendships off of who would share that 64 pack of crayons with the sharpener in the back, and that you shouldn’t wait until the day it’s due to start an essay, well at least some of us follow that last one. Those days are long passed and we will start the new journey in high school soon, but we can’t forget those days because they taught us so many valuable lessons to learn from.

Just like in our actual families, we’ve been through a lot together, we’ve grown together, and now it's going to be hard for us to be split up. In The Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh, there is a quote that is “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” Most of us can relate to this quote now, as saying goodbye to Giant City and growing apart from some of the friends we have made here is going to be very hard, but at the same time we are all so lucky to have been apart of this school and the memories we made

Before I start with my speech, allow me to ask a very simple question. Have you guys ever complaint about your school, your teachers, or being a student? I bet almost 99.9% of you guys said yes. We actually complain a lot, over the smallest things and lack appreciation. And though this ceremony recognizes our efforts, it also recognizes and pays homage to the dedication of our parents and our teachers. We would not have been able to accomplish this much without their help. So today, in honor of all the students, thank you. You know, I never expected to be standing up here but here I am, giving this speech and probably doing a terrible job at it because if you couldn’t tell, I’m pretty nervous. But thanks to NAMS, it pushed me out of my comfort zone and onto this stage in front of all you wonderful people. Succeeding from middle school is no easy task, looking back it surprises me that I even made it this far. A famous author, Theodore Roosevelt, once said, “A man who has never gone to school may steal from a freight car; but if he has a collage education he may steal the whole rail road.” Even though we have a while to get a collage education, we’ve made it here, to the end of 8th grade. Just like a rail road the train has to be set on a good track, just like our education. So far for this 8th grade class, our tracks have been fantastic ever since we first started our journey. Our first stop was 6th grade. New building, new people, and it were a whole new environment. New fears emerged and I remember feeling like a fish out of the sea. The year went by and our next stop was 7th grade, which the teachers have been preparing us for. We came back much more confident than the year before. We looked down at the 6th graders and asked ourselves, “Were we that short just last year?” And by the end of 7th grade, we were on our way to 8th grade. The year started off at a sprint and it seems to have left many of us still trying to catch our breath but 8th grade is also the…

All of our dedication and hard work throughout high school has prepared us for what is to come. However, there are a few people without whom none of this – our futures – would have been possible. I believe a few thanks are owed. Thank you, families, for being open minded and providing the perfect, and sometimes unusual, guidance in all we do. Parents, thank you…

It seems like just the other day when we were all talking about our senior's farewell as they move on. I remember thinking that it would be hard to say goodbye ... and I was right – it is hard. Yet I consider myself fortunate to have met such a special person ... a person that we care so much about ... that it makes saying goodbye to them hard! As we say goodbye, we remind ourselves that farewells are not forever, nor are they the end. They are simply words to say that we will miss you dearly and that we will remember you fondly. I still remember the day when I first met my seniors and to tell the truth I was really terrified by those sweet funny things which they made me and my class fellows do. But later we all realized that it was just to increase our confidence level and to decrease the communication gap among us. And I hope that this is quite an example to demonstrate their well wishes for us. Although we may be separated by time and distance in the interim, nothing will diminish the important role that you have and always will play in our lives. We wish you happy adventures, fantastic new friendships, amazing experiences and the journey of a lifetime.…

Good evening distinguished guests, mothers, sisters, grandmothers, friends, teachers, our beloved admin, and, of course, last but not least the beautiful, amazing, guests of honor also known as the senior graduates of 2016. Welcome to the graduation ceremony for the graduating class of 2016. I am proud to be representing the voices of my fellow seniors on this final day of our high school career. And I am sure the lot of us would truly agree that it has been quite a career. To say that it was easy would most definitely be an exaggeration, well more like a lie actually. To say it was hard, now that would most definitely be an honest truth, because high school can be quite a handful: its…

First of all, I would like to thank you all for coming to our graduation. What this ceremony is, is a celebration of a major accomplishment in our lives, the accomplishment of achieving an education. For many of us it has taken a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get here, so today is our reward for the long hours we devoted to reading, writing, and researching, for the stress of taking difficult tests, and for the difficulties we have had to overcome. Though this ceremony recognizes OUR efforts in this accomplishment, it also recognizes and pays homage to the dedication of our parents. Today is the return on the work they invested in us through patient teaching and parenting. We would not have been able to accomplish this much without their help. Their guidance has allowed us to grow into men and woman of character, capable of doing great things. This ceremony is also both an end, and a beginning. It is the end of childhood, of a period of growing and maturing. But, it is also the beginning of a new chapter in our lives, one that is full of the promise of what we may accomplish. While I have the time I want to address the accomplishments of the past as well as the promise and potential of the future.…

Good morning to my fellow graduates, Madam Principal, Vice Principal, Parents, Teachers and specially invited guests. We! are graduating this morning. Can you believe that just five years ago we were in the very same positions as the current form ones are now? As we walked into these halls some of us were nervous, scared, some may have even been anxious on the first day of school. we had to figure out how we were going to fit in, in such a big school. We were the freshmen the low men of the totem pole but as time progressed we got more comfortable with the school, the other students, the teachers and with each other. Now five years later we're leaving the school behind to a whole new crop of students.…

You may think graduating is just a part of life, but isn’t it something memorable I can speak of? Well, for me this has been my most proud moment so far. It was the day I finally proved to myself and everyone else that I made it and all on my own. I’ve been serving and helping others for three whole years as the monitor of our class. The day when we graduated, my lovely teacher and dear classmates showed their respect and appreciation to me. Everything just crowded in and images flashed into my mind. To be frank, I had never felt so happy and satisfied before. High school was a huge milestone in my life, and that is also what makes graduation so memorable to me.…
