Girl Scouts Research Paper
I will forever embody the Girl Scout values. In college, I will continue to lead group projects and club activities. I yearn to continue to volunteer at places, like hospitals and nursing facilities in college, like I have in high school. Additionally, in college I hope to complete new community service projects and continue to inspire others to action. From Girl Scouts, I recognize the power of enlisting a team to accomplish tasks and the dedication required to enact local and global change. At times in college, I will need to set challenging goals and reach them. The goals will include to complete homework assignments on time, be prepared for the exams, pass the medical certification tests, and complete community service projects on time. …show more content…
In the future, I will volunteer as an adult Girl Scouts and assist with local troops, become a troop leader, or hold any other position within the Girl Scout council. Furthermore, I will also become a Girl Scout Gold Award mentor. I yearn to play an essential role in helping girls earn the highest award in Girl Scouting. My Gold Award mentor played a vital role in helping me with my project and I desire to provide the same support to other girls. As a woman who earned her Gold Award, I would truly comprehend how difficult it can be to devise a project idea and enact a project, which is sustainable and satisfies requirements. Additionally, if I have any daughters, they will be involved in Girl Scouts. I would become the “leader” of their troop, although the girls will actually run the troop. In all, throughout college, my career, and within my own family, and in Girl Scouts, I will continue to lead with courage, confidence, and character. Becoming an adult volunteer, Gold Award mentor, and/or troop leader, will allow me to give back to Girl Scouts, an organization which has instilled in me crucial skills, which I am forever

From there, I hope to study to be accepted into medical school and specialize in pediatrics. When preparing for medical school, the advice one hears are to become a well-rounded student. Through my DECA experiences I have been able to develop leadership skills that will help me thrive in my future. Over the three years I have been involved, I have stepped out my comfort zone and made a difference in my local DECA chapter, community, and my future. Now taking the responsibility of being a DECA officer, as the chapter president, has allowed me to continue to grow and develop my leadership, communication, and social skills. Working with the Milan DECA Chapter members has proven how difficult and enjoyable being a leader is. At times leading so many events can be stressful; however, the completion of the events pushes me further. In order to reach the goal of becoming ‘well-rounded’, I used DECA skills to organize my time to join other extracurriculars within my community. Along with DECA, I participate in 4-H which is a non-profit organization in counties all across the nation that prepares youth to make a positive impact on their communities. Furthermore, I lead my 4-H club in a Relay For Life team through the American Cancer Society. It would make a difference in my life and other people’s. It would be an honor to be chosen! I feel that I should be one of them; I being in this program would show that I am not here in school for drama, gossip, etc. I am here for my education. Yes to have fun but not fun to where I would be low on my grades, if I see that my grades are dropping I try my hardest to bring them up, I will do whatever it takes to bring my grades up and that’s just what’s called hardworking! I am an honor roll student; I am intelligent and outstanding. I don’t like to follow; I like to be a leader. I think I am already a leader, at home I am. I have manners… who doesn’t?
