Goal Letter For Research Paper

9/07/10 Goal Letter
Dear Mr. Simone,

Summer 2010 was great for me. I did a lot of stuff this summer and hung out with a lot of friends but the highlight was riding to Wasco every Saturday morning. I would meet up with Chris Impson and we would usually hang out for the whole day. I live in St. Charles so I would have a 8 mile ride down there and sometimes we would ride bikes all the way back to my house so it was quite the work out. Other days I would ride my bike to Wasco and meet up with Christopher then ride to another friends house and spend the day there. I am really satisfied with the way my summer went. I did more than just saw friends though, I went to Wisconsin, spent a week in Missouri by myself, and rode dirt bikes on our farm. While I was in Missouri I did a lot like help my Grandpa out and played a lot of baseball.

I have only got into a book 3 or 4 times before and when I do I usually finish it the day I start it. But if I have a goal to meet I will do what I have to do to get there. When I am falling behind with my reading goal my mom is usually the one to remind me. When it comes to writing I am not to skilled at that either. I always feel pretty proud of my writing pieces. I usually spend over an hour on my letters or reflections. But when it comes to grading time I don’t get what I expected. That is one thing I would really like to work on this year. I hope to do very will in Language Arts class and learn a lot during these four quarters. I should leave the reading and writing subject by saying I tend to do better when my teacher is

This summer I went to Gold Hill Oregon. I went to the house of mystery and went Jet boating, Zip lining. There were turkeys everywhere and they were wiled. It was 103 degrees in Gold Hill that week. I was so close to the fire. Overall my summer was an adventure, but I cannot wait until next summer.…

I didn’t really do much over the summer. We went to Indiana beach, and I am not too fond of roller coasters, or any ride for that matter, except for at water parks. Last year in 7th grade we went to Washington D.C and saw the washington monument, lincoln memorial, we went inside the Capitol building, The Changing of the Guard at Arlington cemetery, saw The White House. That didn’t really interest me, I don’t even have any souvenirs! Even earlier in the year, we went to Buffalo, New York. We saw a football game (the team we were rooting for lost,(TO THE JETS!) and we got to see Niagara Falls.…

Reading has always been the one subject that I struggled with. I could write and spell, but I always got put in the lowest reading level of my elementary class. I have come a long way from that now, but I still take a lot longer than my classmates to finish reading. My lexile was pretty good for my AT class last year which was a major accomplishment for me regarding academics. My goal for this year is to try and get my reading speed up.…

Nearly everyone is at least somewhat familiar with Target stores; the famous bullseye logo is identifiable all across the United States. With the motto "Expect More, Pay Less", the company suggests that customers can expect more of everything, at more reasonable prices. The best thing about my summer was obviously when my baby sister Ava was born! Which was July 30th and 7:43 pm. It feels like just yesterday I was finding out I was going to be a big sister. Back in January 2015, I was very nervous at first but then I got used to it and started to get thrilled by having a sibling. Now she is here and I love her with all my heart!…

I had some challenges in the first semester. I realized that it gets harder every year. I felt like ninth grade was a bit easier than this year. The final for English was easy. There were only two questions. We took a final for the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird. My goal is to have good grades, but also pass every class so that I don’t have to retake any. I want to be able to graduate on time. It always gets hard when almost end of the semester. That is the time when teachers start to give out more work. It’s a good idea but the same time bad. It can help bring grades up for some people. Most people are lazy so they rather not do it and fail the semester. My challenge was trying to focus with so many distractions in the way.…

Personal goals are achieved through dedication and the love of what you are doing. Nobody can decide one person’s personal goals for themselves because it is only made by them and it reflects their character and interests. A personal goal that I have is to serve people in need whether that is through mission trips, volunteer work, or a child sponsorship. The steps that I will need to take in order to reach my goal of serving others is to get involved in a church that is committed to serving others, volunteer locally and be a part of credible programs, and seek children in need to sponsor on a regular basis.…

While I do have a lot of goals that I want to accomplish in my college career, I’m only going to only talk about one of them. And that goal is for me to build up my confidence. I’ve been an introvert all my life; although there’s nothing wrong with being quiet, there is something wrong with having thoughts like ‘your worthless’ or ‘nothing you ever do is good’. If someone compliments me saying I’m good at something, I would respond by saying something like ‘you’re just saying that to be nice’ or ‘no I’m not, I’m horrible’. And every time I would say that, someone would think I was just being humble. But the truth of the matter is that I actually believe that. It’s a little funny to think about how I developed this kind of personality; because…
