Good Political Leader
“The meaning of a message is the change which it produces in the image”.[1] In order to be a good political leader, you have to progress certain traits over time. You are not born a good political leader you have to be made in to a good political leader. To be a good political leader you must have will power and determination to succeed. A good political leader in order to succeed needs a good education, training and experience. “Leadership is a process by which a person influences others to accomplish an objective and directs the organization in a way that makes it more cohesive and coherent”. [2] Good leaders are always studying to make themselves better and to improve their leadership skills. Good leaders have character, beliefs and values. Good political leaders must have experience in experience. In the novel, Moses, Man of The Mountain by Zora Neale Hurston, I believe that Huston’s character Moses had a lot of charisma. “The familiar story of the Exodus, Hurston blends the Moses of the Old Testament with the Moses of black folklore and song to create a powerful novel of the persecution of slavery, the dream of freedom, and the redemption of the faithful”.[3] In this novel, the character that is a good political leader is Moses. I believe Moses was a good political leader and that an oppressed group needed a leader like Moses. If I was part of an oppressed group I would want Moses as a leader. He fought for the good of the people and to free them from being slaves. He did whatever necessary to bring the Hebrews to peace. In Hurston’s Novel, the setting takes place in a ghetto place called Goshen, where the people are forced to work long hours, they get beaten and have no rights. The conditions are horrible. Zora Neale Hurston is describing a society where the government controls everything. The government knows everything that happens up to in the bedrooms of the people.
