Edward was asked to do his research using Wikipedia, and he located a specific view using references within the Wikipedia page quickly. He then proceeds to go back and read the summary on the Wikipedia page more in depth and then tries to find links to other sources that are of the opposing opinion to turn his paper into a debate. McClure adds his view on Edward’s research method, where he states that he agrees with how Edward is using Wikipedia but states that Edward should have built up his knowledge before looking for outside sources. Edward continues his research and looks for links to outside sources, relying on the title of the work and not the credentials of the author, the website name, or the domain the source is published with. McClure recommends that when doing research, the researcher should rely on more than just the article title, to ensure that the source is credible. Edward explains that he read just the beginning paragraphs, but he knew he would use the source due to the sources the author used. McClure does not agree with this method, saying that Edward’s essay can only be as reliable as the sources that he uses. Edward moves his search to Google, to find the original works, which leads him the online library, where he can locate credible searches with the help of his Wikipedia
