Gospel Of Christianity Research Paper
The New Testament has had profound influence for two thousand years and continues to have significant impact in the present. Because most of the world has a basic understanding of Christianity, it is important for the man or woman of God to be well versed of its significance and its effects.
In a general sense, religion should answer man’s questions concerning their existence on earth and post death. Christianity answers these questions through the person of Jesus the Christ. In the day of Roman rule, with despotic leaders, and half of the roman population living as slaves, the message of the gospel answered the questions of life and gave hope of eternity.
The centerpiece of Christianity is Christ Jesus, whose considered, to be the greatest

During the time of Samuel, Judges ruled the people in Israel. The Israelites said to Samuel, “ You are old, and your sons do not follow your ways; now appoint a king to lead us, such as all the other nations have.” (APA, NIV, 1 Samuel 8:5) They desire a king because they thought the other nations having a man, as a leader will help them win their fight battles. Having a king would allow them to be lazy, and have someone else make all the calls and take on the burden of responsibilities they would have to deal with. The Israelites did not trust God’s judgment after the countless times he has provided for them. They wanted to be just like the other nations not knowing what God had in store for them. God being a favorable God give them what they wanted.…

Abstract Baptism, associated greatly with the Christian religion, did not originate with John the Baptist as many would assume from well-known Bible stories. Jesus ' time, the washing of almost anything was considered as a way of cleansing and purifying to rid of sin or to make clean. Rituals and Practices are very important in Full Gospel Baptist Churches. So many things revolve around these simple but important rituals. Over thousands of years Baptism has been a tradition in the Church and Christian communities all over the world. Most rituals are performed in a church of choice by a priest who has been…

The Holocaust is known for the mass murders of Jewish people under the power of Adolf Hitler and his Nazi party, which is also known as the National Socialist group, but there were many other groups that were persecuted during this time. The National Socialist group also persecuted Gypsies, Homosexuals, Blacks, handicapped and disabled, and last but not least Jehovah’s Witnesses. Jehovah’s Witnesses were not persecuted because of their racial appearances but because of their religion. Sometimes religion can be more important than your own life. The Jehovah’s Witnesses were targeted because of their refusal to swear loyalty to the Nazi’s or to serve in their armed forces. (Jehovah’s Witness: Article)…

Although not very important, I took the liberty this past month(Black History) to document my research to the age old question, "Was Jesus Black," after a small debate with my auntie Angelina Quarterman arguing that He was a Jew, and Jews are White(lol). The typical Hollywood image in which ancient Israelites look like fair-haired White Americans is way off the mark. The people of the bible were Semitic(Afro-Asiatic languages) and would have been dark- skinned. The racial emnity & equating Black with evil was an unfortunate development in later Europe, devised in part to justify African slavery.…

If I were to sum up what I have learned from this course it would be focused on Faith and a new understanding of the Bible. Faith is not just part of religion but every aspect of our everyday lives, and is fascinatingly carried through the Bible from the beginning to the end. It began with the Creation, and continued throughout the Fall, Redemption, and Consummation of Christ. It is the foundation of the Christian perspective and what leads God’s people to salvation and good works. Our modern world is so corrosive to faith that Jesus Christ asked, "When the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?" (Luke 18:8). He is there to give his people the gift of faith and to help them to grow in living faith that will last forever.…

Before the gospels and Pauline epistles, early church Christians related to the Old Testament as Scripture and viewed their Christian walk as the fulfillment of the promises made to Israel from the Old Testament, which foretold of the coming age of the Messiah. The first New Testament Christians understood the importance of the Old Testament; it was their “Bible” they preached from. Just as in the early church, Christians today need the Old Testament for preaching and in which to reference and understand Christ’s purpose for why he came.…

Buddhism is a way of life that is continuously growing due to a variety of reasons. The word, Buddhism, derives from “budhi”, which means “to awaken” (White, 1993). There are various, diverse types of this philosophy. The Dhamma or truth, which is the core of this instruction, is the only constant (White, 1993). This is one on many worldviews prevalent in today’s society. This particular worldview, Buddhism, will be compared and contrasted with the biblical worldview.…

I have a Christian worldview. A worldview is the structure by which an individual or group makes sense of the world. Philip Graham Ryken describes it as “our orientation to reality.” It seeks answers to questions like, “How did we get here?” and “In what is our ultimate hope?” Ryken believes all worldviews are inherently religious because they reveal our “fundamental convictions,” particularly what we believe about God. Further, he believes we all develop a worldview, whether consciously or subconsciously, with regard to the fundamental question of origin, problem, and hope. There are many factors which contribute to one’s worldview, including one’s background, experiences, education, socio-economic circumstances and nationality. Of course,…

The Old Testament of the Holy Bible gives many examples which provide modern man with guidelines for the use of scientific method. Millam (2008) explains that there is an underlying order in nature demonstrated by the patterns and regularities of God’s creations. These regularities can be seen in the forces of nature and are stable throughout space and time (Millam, 2008). The original classification of species, use of precise measurement, and even the first account of scientific research, are all included in the Old Testament of the Holy Scriptures. God gives scientists some clear frames of reference for seeking knowledge and truth in science.…

A worldview consist of a foundation of thoughts, ideas, values and beliefs in which a person or group may relate and interpret as conforming standard for their life. The scientific method is a tool that enables a person to seek out new knowledge, or correct and integrate new knowledge. It is composed of eight individual steps: which start out with defining a question, gathering information and resources, form an explanatory hypothesis, test the hypothesis by performing an experiment and collecting data in a reproducible manner, analyze the data, interpret the data and draw conclusions that serve as a starting point for new hypothesis, publish results, and ends with a retest. The steps can be grouped into four different essential elements: operation, observation, model, and utility function.…

The resurrection of Jesus is the most crucial part of the Christian faith. If the resurrection were not true, then our Christian faith would be meaningless. However, the resurrection is not just some myth that Christians choose to believe. Yes, we live by faith and believe in the Bible, which says that Jesus rose from the grave. However, the resurrection is an historical event with a lot of evidence to back it up. Most historians admit that Jesus was a real person and did walk on earth, but that is where they stop. However, there is so much evidence that provides proof that Jesus really did die and then on the third day rise from the grave. The Romans were experts at death, and there is no way that Jesus did not actually die. This eliminates…
